*hums*

Lalalalalala.... Lalala... Bored... Lalala....

Free time. Imagine that. But now I'm just sitting and staring into space. Or at the tv screen, for the last few hours. I watched Man in the Iron Mask, and then Clueless. Clueless really is better than it seems, since it is based on Emma. If you look hard enough, you can see it. Sort of like Bridget Jones' Diary being based on Pride and Prejudice. I actually caught that one without having anyone tell me about it. After all, the love interest is named Mr. Darcy, and interestingly enough, played by Colin Firth, who played Darcy in the BBC Pride and Prejudice mini-series. I may need a life.

So, I got another letter from Hamline today. They have invited me to apply for the "DIVE! Into Hamline" weekend leadership retreat. All kinds of fun stuff, apparently. "Leadership building activities." Do I want to go? It might be fun, and a good way to get myself noticed. (Well, I suppose they don't invite everyone to it, so I've been noticed already. Or do they?) Did you go, Rianna? Or have you heard anything about it? If I apply, I am required to go if they accept me. Sara? Did you get an "invitation to apply?" Hmm. We'll see.

I don't really feel like doing any homework. I have spanish, and an full-length AP Lang exam to complete, compliments of Niemi. I know I'm going to get a 5, she knows I'm going to get one. Do I really need to jump through the hoop? I hate hoops. *sighs and jumps anyway*

The Euro test was fun... ish. My arm hurt after 2 solid hours of essay writing, but I'll live. I feel pretty good about it. Should be a 5. Stats... Eh. Maybe a 3, but I wouldn't be surprised if I got a 2. The multiple choice really wasn't that bad, and neither were the first 5 open-ended questions. Just the last one was nasty. Evil even. Oh well. Don't care.

Sara, I finished Wicked. You're right, the end isn't very good. She just goes pyscho and does things her character wouldn't have earlier in the book. Silly Elphaba. Overall, though, it's not a bad book. Better than Mr. Darcy Takes A Wife, which I still haven't even attempted to finish.

I'm working on Slaughter-House Five. Very interesting so far. But, I think I am in more of a Jane Austen mood. Screw homework. I'm going to read Pride and Prejudice.

Good choice on the Pride and Prejudice v. Homework front. As far as the leadership retreat goes: It's a good opportunity to meet people. I didn't go, because it was the same week I was in Texas, but the people who did go semmed to like it. I think it's a lot of leadership/getting-to-know-you type games. If you want to go, I'd say go for it.

I wasn't invited if its worth anything. and it should be based off of all the leadership things I am in.

Yay for a lazy weekend. The essays are actually kind of fun (if you haven't done them yet), and well, the MC is still sitting on my dresser. Oops... :)

Anyway, random question, could I borrow your copy of "Emma"? I'd really like to reread it. Thanks!

Fun essays are, umm... fun! I'll do those sometime today, along with MC.

As for Emma... Sure, you can borrow it. If you don't mind it being pink, smelling like strawberry kiwi, and sticking together...
I forgot to close a bottle of juice all the way when I put it into my bag. Emma was in that bag, too.

Kara still has my copy of One Flew. *POKE*
Kurt Vonnegut is my hero (mustard gas and roses?). I suppose he's a far cry from Jane Austen, though...
I got the leadership letter, and the dates don't intersect with Winnepeg, so I'll apply if you apply? :P
Oops. I've been caught blogging. Must go to evade homework somewhere else.

Ya, I'm applying. I emailed the nice ladies to ask for an "electronic application." Nothing like avoiding the United States Postal Service.

My word verification isn't that fun...
